Martin F. Murphy, received his undergraduate degree in marketing, a B.S. in Business Administration and his law degree from Seton Hall University. He served as Assistant Deputy Public Defender in both the Appellate Section and the Passaic Regional Trial Section of the Public Defender's Office. He has served as Municipal Attorney for the Township of West Milford, the Township of Montville, the Borough of Butler and the Borough of Essex Falls and was attorney for the West Milford Planning Board, Ringwood Planning Board, Wanaque Board of Adjustment and West Milford Township Municipal Utilities Authority. His interest in municipal law has provided an extensive background in the area of land use and zoning, and he does a considerable amount of real estate work and estate work for the firm. He is a member in the New Jersey Institute of Municipal Attorneys, the Passaic County Bar Association, and the State of New Jersey Bar Association. He is a member of the New Jersey and New York Bars and is admitted as an Attorney of the United States Supreme Court.
