Martin F. Murphy received his undergraduate degree in marketing, a B.S. in Business Administration and his law degree from Seton Hall University. He served as Assistant Deputy Public Defender in both the Appellate Section and the Passaic Regional Trial Section of the Public Defender's Office. He presently serves as

• the municipal attorney for the Township of Montville,
• the municipal attorney for the Borough of Butler,
• the municipal attorney for the Borough of Essex Fells,
• the municipal attorney for the Borough of Mountain Lakes and
• the attorney for the Planning Board of the Township of Franklin.

He has served as the attorney for

• the Township of West Milford,
• the West Milford Planning Board,
• the Ringwood Planning Board,
• the Wanaque Board of Adjustment and
• the West Milford Township Municipal Utilities Authority.

His interest in municipal law has provided an extensive background in the area of land use and zoning, and he does a considerable amount of real estate work and estate work for the firm. He is a member of

• the New Jersey Institute of Municipal Attorneys,
• the Passaic County Bar Association,
• and the State of New Jersey Bar Association.

He is a member of the New Jersey and New York Bars and is admitted as an Attorney of the United States Supreme Court.
