Gary J. Chester joined the firm in January of 2003 after serving as Senior Trial Attorney for the insurer American International Group for eight years. In his 20th year of practice, Mr. Chester has specialized in the defense of products liability, medical malpractice, toxic tort, and other personal injury litigation on behalf of AIG, Fireman's Fund, New Jersey Manufacturers, Penn National, and other insurance companies and private clients. Mr. Chester is a journalism graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1979) and a law graduate from the University of Miami School of Law (1982). He was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar in 1983 and the New York State Bar in 1984. Mr. Chester has tried cases in U.S. District Court in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Newark, New Jersey, as well as numerous New Jersey state courts. Mr. Chester has been published in The New York Times, Miami Herald, Hartford Courant, and various internet publications.
